DelPrete Home Improvements “Operation Payback” Awards a New Roof for FREE to an American Veteran Every Year
At DelPrete Home Improvements, we believe our freedom is not free—it is earned through the sacrifice, courage, and unwavering commitment of the men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces. American veterans answered the call to serve something greater than themselves, often leaving behind their families, homes, and comforts to defend our country and our way of life.
These heroes endured challenges most of us will never fully understand—facing danger, uncertainty, and hardship with strength, discipline, and honor. Long after their service ends, many continue to carry the weight of that sacrifice, still serving their communities in quieter, less visible ways.
Operation Payback is our way of saying thank you. It’s a small but meaningful gesture to recognize the enormous debt we owe our veterans. Through this program, we aim to give back by providing a deserving veteran with a Free Roof—helping ensure their home is safe, comfortable, and built to last.
We can never truly repay what our veterans have given, but we can stand behind them the same way they once stood for us. Their service will never be forgotten, and their sacrifice will never go unnoticed. This is our honor—and our responsibility.

Here are the details:
DelPrete Home Improvements will give away a new roof up to 20 square (2000sf of actual roof area) to an American Veteran (US Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marines, Navy) FREE of charge. Installation will be around Veteran’s Day.
DelPrete will install Owens Corning’s Premier TruDefinition Duration 50-year architectural shingle with
premium synthetic underlayment and Preferred Platinum Protection warranty. All warranty registration costs will be covered by DelPrete Home Improvements.
If the winning roof happens to be larger than 20 square, the homeowner will ONLY pay the overage for the actual material and labor cost. If the winning roof has a skylight(s) they will be installed FREE of charge with the veteran only paying the cost of the skylight(s). Veterans with a roof of ANY size are encouraged to enter.
The shingles to be installed will be a 50-year architectural shingle with premium synthetic underlayment and Platinum Preferred Protection warranty. All warranty registration costs will be covered by DelPrete Home Improvements.
Eligibility

The registrant/winner must be an active, reserve, retired or honorably discharged American Veteran of the United States Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marines or Navy

The winner must provide verifiable documentation that they own their own home and be listed on the mortgage or deed.

The residence must be a single-family home and it cannot be a rental property

The residence must be in Massachusetts within Plymouth, Bristol, Norfolk or Barnstable Counties

The winner must provide a valid current Military ID or a DD214 (Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty) which will be confirmed by DelPrete Home Improvements.

A winner will be chosen at noon on October 31st, to allow time for registrant validation
Terms & Conditions
- The free roof shall include all permits, labor, materials and disposal to install a roof of 20 squares (2000sf of actual roof area). Veterans with a roof of ANY size are encouraged to enter.
- Should the roof be larger than 20 squares, the overage will be charged to the winner at the cost of materials & labor only. Veterans with a roof of ANY size are encouraged to enter.
- If the winning roof has a skylight(s) they will be installed FREE of charge with the veteran only paying the cost of the skylight(s). Veterans with multiple skylights are encouraged to enter.
- Upon submitting the form, you give consent to DelPrete Home Improvements and its affiliated partners, sponsors, and agents permission to use my personal information, story, and/or images (including photographs and video) for marketing and promotional purposes in connection with the Operation Payback
- This may include, but is not limited to, usage on the following platforms:
- Social media (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter)
- Websites (e.g., https://delpretehi.com/payback)
- Promotional materials (e.g., flyers, brochures, press releases)
- News outlets (e.g., newspapers, TV interviews, etc.)
- I understand that I will not receive any financial compensation for the use of my image, story, or personal information.
- The materials may be used indefinitely, including any future promotional campaigns related to the charity program.

Met the Team at the Home Improvement Show at Gillette, they did a great job on our addition and main house. We had an unusual roof configuration and the sales team was very good at working with me to come up with an installation that worked. … More See the attached photo, downspout from a small section of roof on the front of the new addition, they were able to bring it down the fascia just like we discussed, that is the mark of a top notch installation contractor, works with the home owner to make the finished job come out perfect.I have been in the Engineering and Construction Industry for nearly 50 years and DelPrete Home Improvement has been one of the few contractors that I have given 5 stars to, they are pleasant to work with, knowledgeable on their craft/trade and the installation crew was professional and friendly on one of the hottest days of this year.I would absolutely consider using DelPrete again in the future.

We had DelPrete replace our 30 y/o Windows, Clapboard and Cedar Shingles. I cant say enough good things about the whole process. Although this past winter pushed back our start date, once the job was started I could not believe how quickly … More and efficiently Estuardo's crew worked. From 7AM to 6:30 PM 6 days a week, they all went about their business and did a thorough clean up at days end. Dave was always available to answer any questions we had during the project. The house came out fantastic. So looking forward to having them back to work on our porch reconstruction late summer/early fall. Five star experience all round!The communication from the sales and project management teams was first class throughout including the job scope, advanced prep requirements and on-site ETAs.Pre and post job inspections allowed as much time … More as necessary to provide clarity on the existing structural conditions and explain the various aspects of the completed work.The roofing crew arrived on time, were very courteous and presentable, were mindful of the flora, did a great job with the install and clean-up and completed the job in a day as promised.Everything above also applied to Part two of this project which was to replace all of the exterior cedar shingles and wood plank with Hardie fiber cement and trim with a couple of new windows also installed in the garage.Like Derek beforehand Project Managers Jimmy and Dave were exemplary throughout along with Estuardo leading an equally hardworking, courteous, presentable and conscientious crew.Once again this project was completed on time with exceptional communicationthroughout from Jimmy and Dave.There were some minor post-job aesthetics that were identified by both parties (which was very reassuring) but again nothing was too much trouble for them and Estuardo to diligently attend to in a concerted effort to ensure that we, as the homeowners, were left totally happy with the end result.
